Dioniso is a Recioto of velvety sweetness, ripe berry fruit and liquorice depth. Full and enveloping, it carries concentrated fruit with bright freshness and soft tannins, giving the sweetness a clear, tactile shape.
The ripe fruit stays vivid across the palate, while warm spice and a savoury undertow give the finish darker depth.
Deep ruby red with purple reflections.
Ripe cherry, strawberry, blackberry and plum fill the bouquet, followed by dried fruit and warm spice.
Full and velvety on the palate, Dioniso carries bright acidity through its sweetness. Soft tannins give the fruit a tactile outline, and black cherry remains clear through the centre.
As the wine opens, a fine cocoa note develops beneath the fruit. The finish is long, with dried cherry, cocoa and warm spice taking on an increasingly savoury cast.
Serve Dioniso with aged Gorgonzola, flourless dark-chocolate cake with sour cherries, sbrisolona, walnut tart or roasted figs with mascarpone. It can also close the meal on its own.
Pour into a generous dessert-wine glass and allow around 30 minutes to open.
Serve at 15–16°C.
