ALTA Amarone is the fullest expression of the ALTA Collection — a generous, deeply flavoured Amarone shaped by the freshness and balance of Ca’ Botta’s high-hillside vineyards.
Corvina Veronese, Corvinone and Rondinella are concentrated through appassimento, building the ripe fruit, depth and natural warmth that define Amarone. Careful cellar ageing then rounds the wine into a supple, polished structure while preserving the freshness that keeps its richness precise.
The result is powerful without becoming heavy: full, layered and warm, with ripe fruit, polished tannins and a long, composed finish.
Deep ruby red with vivid violet reflections.
The bouquet opens with ripe cherry, blackberry, strawberry and plum, followed by cocoa, liquorice and warm spice.
On the palate, ALTA is full and enveloping. Ripe red and dark fruit bring concentration and warmth, while soft, polished tannins and balanced acidity give the wine freshness, structure and definition.
Cocoa, liquorice, dark fruit and spice remain through a long, dry finish.
Its defining character is the balance between Amarone’s natural richness and the freshness of the high hills — generous, structured and intense, yet always composed.
Serve at 16–18°C and allow around 30 minutes for the wine to open.
ALTA Amarone is particularly compelling with roast or braised beef, lamb, game, slow-cooked meats, rich pasta dishes and mature cheeses.
Its combination of ripe fruit, savoury depth and freshness also makes it especially comfortable at the table, where its structure can develop gradually alongside a meal.
